This is great news for Maryland medical marijuana patients who have been waiting for access to medical marijuana for years at this point.

HempStaff will also offer classes in Columbia, MD on Sept. 22. Click Here for more information or to purchase tickets for this course.

“Maryland first approved medical cannabis in May 2013 and, after one of the slowest rollouts in the cannabis industry, some of Maryland’s dispensaries began opening their doors and serving medical marijuana patients in late 2017,” says James Yagielo, CEO and Co-Founder of HempStaff. “This is great news for Maryland medical marijuana patients who have been waiting for access to medical marijuana for years at this point. Though prices are still relatively high, as they are in most new cannabis programs, we hope to see a decline as more dispensaries and cultivation centers open and the Maryland cannabis market becomes more competitive.”

In addition to Maryland’s cannabis regulations, the course topics include:

·         Communicating with medical patients to understand their individual needs

·         Managing point of sale and inventory systems

·         How to determine and recommend dosage

·         Cannabis’ effect on the endo-cannabinoid system

·         How cannabinoids and terpenes can alleviate or reduce symptoms of illness

·         Top couple dozen cannabis products on the market and how to recommend these products to medical patients to help with their ailments.

The 4-hour courses culminate in a certification exam that students must score 75% or higher to get a HempStaff Dispensary Agent Certification. In addition to education, HempStaff offers recruitment assistance to students, which includes a cannabis resume review and tips on how to make connections with employers looking to fill entry-level positions at dispensaries and cultivation sites.

Maryland’s Medical Marijuana program is expected to be one of America’s largest. 14 cultivation centers have been licensed and more than 100 dispensaries are expected to open by the end of 2018.

HempStaff has trained and certified over 5,200 attendees in 18 states since 2014 and continues to hold classes across the United States. In addition to Maryland, classes are currently scheduled for Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Illinois, Michigan, Arkansas and Florida.

HempStaff also offers the cannabis business owners of Maryland, a team of recruiters on hand to help with all their cannabis recruiting needs
