Cannabis training and recruitment agency hosts dispensary agent training course in Los Angeles on Jan. 27
LOS ANGELES, October 5, 2017 (Newswire.com) - HempStaff, a recruitment and training agency for the legal marijuana industry, announced that it is hosting a Los Angeles Marijuana Dispensary Agent Training Class on Jan. 27, 2018. The course will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn LAX/El Segundo in two separate sessions, the first from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. PT and the second from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. PT. The course costs $249 with prior online registration, or $300 cash at the door if seats are still available. The course comes as California implements the sale of marijuana for recreational use and recreates the laws for its medical marijuana program, making the need for a trained dispensary workforce of paramount importance.
“California pioneered the medical marijuana movement and is now set up to be the biggest adult-use cannabis market in the country,” said James Yagielo, co-founder and CEO of HempStaff. “While the state is home to countless industry veterans with extensive cannabis knowledge, everyone will need to learn the new California Cannabis laws. Our course will teach both aspiring and current dispensary workers the state’s new regulations, as well as the medicinal benefits of the plant and cannabis products.”
In addition to California’s new regulations, the course topics include how to speak with new customers and medical patients and understand their individual needs, managing point of sale and inventory systems, how to determine and recommend dosage, the endo-cannabinoid system, the top dozen cannabinoids, top dozen terpenes, how they can alleviate or reduce symptoms, and the top 20 cannabis products on the market.
The four-hour course culminates in a certification exam that students must score 75 percent or higher to get a HempStaff Dispensary Agent Certification. In addition to education, HempStaff offers recruitment assistance to students, which includes a cannabis resume review and tips on how to make connections with employers looking to fill entry-level positions at dispensaries and cultivation sites.
HempStaff has trained and certified more than 3,000 dispensary agents nationwide and continues to hold classes across the United States. In addition to California, future HempStaff training classes are scheduled for Arkansas, Massachusetts, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Florida, Michigan and Maryland.
