HempStaff Returns to Florida, Hosts Cannabis Dispensary Agent Training in Orlando and West Palm Beach

HempStaff, a Florida-based recruitment and training agency for the legal marijuana industry, will be hosting Medical Marijuana Dispensary Training courses in two Florida locations this month – Orlando on Feb. 10, and West Palm Beach on Feb. 11.

The Orlando course will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Lake Buena Vista/Orlando, while the West Palm Beach course will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Palm Beach Gardens. Orlando will hold one session from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET. West Palm Beach will have two separate sessions, the first from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET and the second from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET. The course costs $249 with prior online registration, or $300 cash at the door, if seats are available.

“HempStaff has certified more than 500 students in Florida since 2014, and this will mark the seventh time we have held dispensary agent training courses in the state,” said James Yagielo, co-founder and CEO of HempStaff. “There are currently 13 licensed marijuana cultivators in Florida with an additional 5 to be licensed this year, all of which are permitted to open 25 dispensaries. Our goal is to professionalize Florida’s cannabis industry by providing these dispensaries with well-trained and highly-educated dispensary workers.”

In addition to Florida’s cannabis regulations, the course topics include:

·         Communicating with new customers and medical patients to understand their individual needs

·         Managing point of sale and inventory systems

·         How to determine and recommend dosage

·         Cannabis’ effect on the endo-cannabinoid system

·         How cannabinoids and terpenes can alleviate or reduce symptoms of illness

·         Top 20 cannabis products on the market

The 4-hour course culminates in a certification exam that students must score 75% or higher to get a HempStaff Dispensary Agent Certification. In addition to education, HempStaff offers recruitment assistance to students, which includes a cannabis resume review and tips on how to make connections with employers looking to fill entry-level positions at dispensaries and cultivation sites.

In addition to Florida, future HempStaff training classes are scheduled for Michigan, Maryland, Arkansas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois and Massachusetts.
