"Oklahoma has the first new medical cannabis program in a quite some time that allows your average citizen to get a cannabis business license," said James Yagielo, CEO of HempStaff, "This has lead to over 250 processor licenses, over 600 dispensary licenses and almost 1,000 cultivation licenses being awarded in Oklahoma as of October 28! With this much competition, only those with the best employees and business plans will survive."
HempStaff’s four-hour course is designed to prepare participants for work in a medical marijuana dispensary so that business owners are getting educated and well-prepared candidates when they start to fill new positions.
The course educates the participants on cannabis and cannabis products along with all the information to keep up-to-date with Oklahoma's medical marijuana laws. HempStaff offers its students a resume review to help best prepare them for seeking employment in this course as well. The end of the course offers a certification exam that the student must score at least 75% to get a HempStaff Certification. Since HempStaff is also a recruiting agency, when employers seek to fill entry level dispensary agents or cultivation site workes, students are contacted first.
HempStaff has trained and certified over 6,000 dispensary agents in 20 states since 2014 and continues to hold classes across the United States. In addition to the class held in Oklahoma, classes are currently scheduled for Maryland, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio, Illinois, New Jersey, Michigan, and Massachusetts.
