HempStaff

HempStaff, a leader in recruiting for employees in the cannabis and hemp industries that has trained over 7,000 students in 20 states, announced the first series of live Medical Marijuana Dispensary Training webinars for the states of Florida, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.

The first live webinar on Saturday, April 27, 2019, is designed to prepare students for work in a Florida medical cannabis dispensary and will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST. The second online course will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2019, for the states of Texas, New Mexico and Arizona from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST.

In 2019, more than 211,000 Americans support their families and communities with legal cannabis jobs, according to a special report by Leafly. Florida is adding an expected 9,500 additional jobs in 2019. And in Arizona, it is expected there will be 11,370 jobs in the cannabis job market by the end of 2019.

The four-hour online courses will prepare students for work at a medical marijuana dispensary in the respective state. The webinars are designed to help students understand the industry and its regulations. The course specializes in dispensary employee education that includes the cannabinoids, terpenes and the types of cannabis products offered nationwide. The course also offers a resume template, resume and cover letter instructions and a list of interviewing tips – all to prepare students for cannabis industry interviews.

“We are honored to be able to offer live webinar training courses for multiple states across the country,” said HempStaff CEO James Yagielo. “We have been traveling across the United States hosting in-person dispensary training courses for years and understand how important it is to expand our reach to more students to ensure everyone has an equal chance of landing their dream job in this fast-growing industry.”

At the end of each course, an exam is offered that allows students to earn a HempStaff Certification and add ‘HempStaff Certified’ to their resume. Students need to earn a score of 75 percent or higher on the test. This certification can help students stand out when applying for a job at a dispensary.

In addition to boosting resumes, the course will teach students about their local laws and what to expect in marijuana dispensaries, how to recommend the appropriate medical cannabis dosage, products and more.

The Florida live webinar training course is $229. Early Bird pricing for the Texas, Arizona and New Mexico webinar training is $199 through April 29 then increases to $229. The live webinar training courses can be purchased at www.hempstaff.com.
